I have a 2000 Nissan Altima GXE, the past couple days it has been a little rough to start but after a couple of turns, the car would start. I took it to AutoZone last night because the check engine light came on and to check the battery and alternator - the alternator turned out ok, the battery is still ok, but is weakening, the codes for the check engine were P0302 and P1126 (which after a little research I believe this to be the thermostat - never showed running hot but at times the gauge did bounce a bit?) and then when I was about to leave, the car wouldn't start - they tried to jump and asked me to press the gas slightly and then it started to smell like gasoline - any thoughts???? HELP!!!!
