I had 3 questions. I would appreciate if someone with Nissan expertise or worked with nissan can advice:
1. Nissan states to use only the nissan cvt fluid and that using other Brands can damage the transmission. I have seen some brands like Valvoline,mobil and few others who claim their cvt fluid is compliant for ns-2. Will using them damage the CVT transmission of nissan.
2. Replacement Interval : I stay in the middleeast, and it has very hot temperatures for 5 months a year reaching 48 C . I called the Nissan middleeast(UAE) for advice on CVT fluid replacement and they told me it is for Lifetime and no replacement is needed.I use a Nissan altima 2.5 2009 model. Since Nissan CVT fluid should be the same worldwide, i wonder how come in USA they recommend CVT fluid replacement every 60,000 miles whereas in Middleeast they claim lifetime(especially considering the Hot climates and dusty weather).
3. Quality of Nissan CVT vs others : IS Nissan cvt fluid brand better than others like Valvoline, Mobil and Castrol ?
