Question regarding removal of battery cable to reset code

Another thread at this site suggested removal of the negative battery cable for about 10 minutes to erase the check engine light code. In some of the other newer cars I have had, any removal of the battery cable would result in the radio having to have the code reset. It was usually a pain to do if you didn't have the radio code written down somewhere. My '99 Quest is a new to us car, so of course there is no radio code listed anywhere. My question is, if I do removed the battery cable as suggested, will it create any problems in having to reset the radio for the car?

Thanks.
