Hi guys,
I'm trying to replace the lower steering shaft on my wife's '03 Altima 2.5SL and I've got both bolts removed (the one inside the car) and the close to the rack. Now I can't seem to get the darn thing off the car.
Is there a trick to doing this?
I've used a chisel to try to open up the pinch bolt and I've been trying to get the shaft off the splined input to the rack with a pickel fork but I'm afraid of damaging the rack.
