I got a code PO335 that a crank sensor was the culprit.
History: About a month ago I tried to start the engine. Turned to start and got a misfire and then nothing. It would turn over but it acted like there is no spark.
I let it sit and after 45 min to an hour it turns over and starts fine. Once started it runs fine. I don't remember it ever doing it in the morning, it seems to do it after running 15 to 20 miles and sit for a couple of hours.
Bought used at 82k and now has 110k. A friend of mine helped me replace the crank sensor and I tried to start it and the exact same thing happens.
I started car for first time at about 2:30pm and starts fine. Ran for 10 miles. After 1.5 hours replaced sensor and tried to start with no luck. 45 min later started fine.
Sound like its not the crank sensor.
Any suggestions on what to look for? My mechanic is swamped and cant get me in for 2 weeks.
FYI: the old crank sensor was not the origional.
Also: There is a recall to have the ECM reprogrammed which was done.
