was driving my Nissan Altima 09, when a loud noise like a fan started, so I pulled over to a gas station. When I turned off the car and wanted to turn it back on it wouldn't start. All the lights on the dashboard turn on, battery seems good. Brake pedal is stiff, won't go all the way down. So I tried changing gears and also moving steering wheel, however brake pedal is still stiff and vehicle won't start. Is there anything you recommend for me to check? I called a local mechanic, and he said it might be that the key chip disprogramed. I don't know if that could be possible. I also want to let you know, that a couple of months ago, a different mechanic checked vehicle and said that I might need to change the transmission on the vehicle, since it was making a fan type of sound when I would press the gas while driving. He changed the fan blowers, but it still kept making that noise... Please help... Thank you!!
