We just bought a 03 sentra GXE with a 1.8/auto with only 35,000 miles. When I first drove it the shift into OD was sloppy. I checked the fluid and it was a litlte low. I added some fluid and the shift into OD is better but now the 2-3 shift is sloppy and when going around 30 it revs up about 200 rpm while shifting. Usually slower or faster speeds result in a better shift. I drained some fluid and added some Sea Foam (1/2 pint) to the transmission, the fluid is a little dark,not burned. I drove it 250 miles and the Sea Foam did not help.
Is this normal? Is the transmission going out?
This is our first Nissan. I went out of my way to talk the GF into buying this car. I hope it was not a mistake.
