Maxima Leaking oil right side

I have two Maximas. One is a 2006 and the other is a 1995. I used to have a 1993. I have experienced this on all of these vehicles. There is an oil leak on the right side. It leaves oil in two spots. one large a bit bigger than a basketball. The other is about baseball sized. There is a little space between them. I cannot tell if it is oil, transmission fluid or steering fluid. I am hesitant to take it to a mechanic, I am not familiar with any. The dealers are sooo expensive. If I can find out what is leaking I maybe can do it myself. I could not tell where it was coming from underneath.

Is this an inherent feature? lol Have any of you out there experienced this same type of leak?
