I have owned my 2013 Altima 2.5 SL with navigation since Sept. 2012 and I am totally dissatisfied with this car, rumbling noise coming from CVT transmission when driving within 30 to 40 miles per hour, also noise coming from power steering. Both issues were deemed "normal" per Nissan.
After CVT recall where they reprogrammed the TCM module the transmission issue is actually worse, and to top it off my gas mileage has dropped by 10%, I was getting 37 to 38 MPG on the highway now I struggle to get 33 MPG, the dealership claims that it is due to the winter blend of gas (could be I'll know within the next couple of months)
Another issue is the blind side warning inside lights to warn me that there is a car within my blind side goes off at random, especially during heavy rains, with no other cars anywhere in the general area of my car. These lights are now coming on when I drive by guard rails. Nissan dealership comment on service order was they were unable to duplicate issue as it wasn't raining that day. I doubt they even made an attempt. I'm shutting this feature off along with the lane departure warning system as it is just another annoying feature that goes off anytime you go over a white line.
The other issue was that both front doors scraped against lower body moldings when opening and closing, the dealership did fix this issue after 2 days in the body shop.
It also doesn't appear that the salespeople, dealership service managers, or Nissan reps when you call 1-800-nissan1 know what they are talking about when it comes to the features (or lack of) on the new Altima's.
My suggestion: Don't buy or lease a 2013 Altima, or spend over $30,000 for a car that you won't enjoy driving.
