Hi! I am very frustrated and a little afraid right now. I just replaced the radiator of my 2001 Nissan Altima GXE d/t the top of it being cracked and leaking. Because money is tight I checked the fluid levels daily and drove the car minimally until I could afford a repair. Now post repair I am noticing a steady leak coming from the left side of the car underneath everything. It started coming out a couple of minutes after the car was started and comes out in a very steady stream. This was not happening before. I had started the car and let it run for a few minutes so I could check that hoses were clamped well. I noticed that the mechanic did not put the radiator cap back on and luckily found it sitting in an area that prevented it from falling into the fan. I noticed that the radiator fluid was low and replaced it thinking that the lack of a cap was part of the problem. Now this sudden leak underneath. Are there radiator hoses under the car on the passenger side? I know from past US cars that there is a top and bottom hose but it seems like there are more here. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The car runs fine and other than the radiator problem I have not had other issues.
