Recently replaced upper intake plennum gaskets and in the proccess noticed a tube that inserts into the plennum, just behind the throttle body, was plugged. So I cleaned it out. Once car was started it ran(runs) great. But the SES light came on, and now under heavy load(@3000rpm) the car will buck and lose power, sounds like some one beating on the floorboard under passenger side. The code p0403 for EGR malfunction pulled up. I only cleaned the tube and it seems I should have let it be, now am going to remove and clean all EGR parts. Just don't see how this would affect heavy acceleration, yet run fine otherwise. I had also changed spark pluggs at same time as gasket, put dielectric grease on as I would any other plug-wire(coil), should I not have, could that be part of the problem or just the EGR. Any other suggestions as I am about to tear back into the car.
