Hey guys, first off I don't have a braking issue, except: I installed a ceramic front disc pads about a year ago and driven about 11k miles and I noticed some lines or grooves around the rotors. I run my fingers and you can feel the bumps and they weren't there before I replaced the pads. The pads are Pro Ceramic brand from the old Checkers auto parts now its O'Reilly that I bought about four years ago and its made in Canada. Also I installed a Monroe brand ceramic disc pads for the rear about 8 months ago and its also have some grooves on the rotors.
I am now convinced that ceramic brake pads maybe too harsh. I also believe Akebono brake pads are OE on Altimas. I started shopping for disc pads replacements. Akebono disc pads claims they are rotor friendly. As usual, I value your feedback. Thx.
