the check engine light is on for couple of weeks. it went off and back on after a few days. checked the code and apparently it's the cat. converter. I talked with a friend mechanic and he said use a 2 gallon Lacquer Thinner in a full tank of gas and drive it for an hour. this will clean the Cat. converter and the code will be clear.
any suggestions? to me this does not seem to be working. but he insisted that this is the way to go.
