I have an 07 Maxima SE with 142,000 miles on it that seems to have developed what is best described as a bump in the tranny. Well, I am guessing its in the tranny but Im not 100% certain.
My initial thinking was that it was in the motor simply because I had recently changed the spark plugs and checked all the ignition coils to try and take care of a slight dieseling issue it was having at low RPMs. I went back through and rechecked my work along with looking for any leaks or other items I might have missed. It doesn't happen often but when it does no engine codes are thrown and the engine doesn't appear to miss a beat....it just feels like something internal goes bump and then catches again. It doesn't seem to happen when you are pushing the car but rather at lower highway speeds while you are simply cruising say 45-55mph.
The fluid level is good and looks pretty clear. It hasn't been drained and filled in a while but certainly isn't low.
Thoughts?
