I own a 2006 Nissan Sentra Special Edition. I got this car for a bargain at the end of 2006 at a Nissan Dealership that shut down.
Anyways, I haven't had too many issues with the car overall. But.....I'm having some AC issues. It seems to blow cold air off and on. The cold air is more reliable on steadier higher speeds such as driving on the freeway. But on local stop and go traffic the AC's cold air cuts in and out, sometimes feeling kinda humid even. It also seems to always pull tons of power from the engine. I went and recharged the unit today. Afterwards my car experienced crazy RPM boosts and surges. And each time the AC/clutch would kick in, I'd hear a crazy rattling sound coming from under the car. The RPM gauge also vibrates when this occurs. Any ideas what this may be?
Another issue I've had with this car from the get-go is the starter/ignition. On hot days I have trouble starting the car up again after it has been parked for about 30-45 minutes. It doesn't click, it tried to start, but chokes. This is an issue no mechanic has figured out since the car decides to pull a dealership syndrome each time I drop it off for this purpose.
I'm no mechanic and don't know jack about engines. So any help and advice would be greatly appreciated as I have already waisted enough money and time taking my car to techs who don't ever seem to fix the problem.
