Hello!
I'm new, and I have a Nissan Altima (2001, I think it's GXE.)
The other day another driver mentioned to me that my brake lights were out. Well, being the weekend with no access to a mechanic, I decided to see if I could work it out myself while waiting.
The bulbs all look good. The fuse looks good. The only thing left as far as I know is the switch under the pedal.
So I picked up a replacement switch and cracked open my Haynes book and there is exactly ONE tiny picture of the area the switch comes from. I dove under the steering wheel myself and looked around and I cannot for the life of me identify which bit I'm supposed to be messing with. The instructions I've looked up all reference cotter pins. I see no cotter pins!
Does anyone have a good clear shot of this particular area of this model year? I'm really at a loss here...
Alternately, I could take a picture of mine and post it here, but that'll have to wait till morning...
