Idiot , design Nissan Micra Lights System

After all these years I found out why my battery gets drained and every once in awhile, I have to get the mechanic to buy and install a new battery, Very costly each time..I would think it's a bad Nissan design, terrible fault..

For some reason, sometimes when I would park, turn off the special idiots computerized key, and then go in the house or park somewhere, then the next time or next day, I would find the battery drained. Here is what happens...

If the car motor is ON, whether you're driving or not, parking, etc, you can turn the lights on or off or flash them with the directional lever, also you can flip the directional lever that also contains the switch for the lights. When the motor is ON, you can do anything with the lights like other normal cars, switch for high or low beams, you can flash the lever to flash the light too, like say you are indicating hello to someone or notifying them of whatever.

But if the car motor is OFF, and you happen to move or flip, switch that lever or flash it, the lights will come on, but then if you let go of the lever, the lights will stay ON..Arrrgghhhh, yes stay on. Apparently that’s I what I was doing accidentally, meaning when the motor is OFF and I accidentally flashed or moved that lever, the lights will come on and STAY ON and no matter if I move that lever back and forth, up down. The ONLY way to to turn off the lights while the motor is OFF, not running, is to again turn the switch ON (yes ON), the lights will stay on of course, then turn the switch to OFF, and finally the lights will go off. So whenever I or anyone gets out of the car, parked, etc, make sure you don’t accidentally touch that directional lever, because the lights will come on and you won’t notice it when parked, then come back hours later, the battery will be drained..

Nissan sure screwed up...unbelievable. Comments please, did anyone notice that?

Comments please..
Thank you

Vicktor
