This is for a 2002 Nissan Quest GLE
I'm talking about the buttons on the steering column.
Set button: Sometimes have to press it over and over and over to get it to set. Sometimes it does seem to work.
Holding in the set button should temporarily allow the car to slow. However, on mine it seems to perform a cancel. Then I have to release and press set again.
Resume button: As I understand it, the resume button should resume the last set. Mine almost never does. Also, holding down the resume button should accelerate however mine acts a cancel button when held down.
Seems to become worse when towing a trailer.
Pressing brake pedal always disengages the cruise just as it should.
Cancel button: Works as expected.
On / Off always works.
I used to have a 1999 Mercury Villager and it's cruise control was flawless and always used it. The ability to do a quick press of the resume button to add 1 or 2 mph speed worked always. I really want my Quest's cruise to work that well.
