Does anyone have a good idea on the life expectancy of the TPMS sensor mounted on each wheel? I have a 2006 crew cab and was wondering how low the sensor can or should last. Can the wheel sensor unit be rebuilt with the installation of a new power source - battery? Or should they be replaced prior to installing new tires, due to the age of the sensor units? Would you suggest OEM or has anyone had a good experience with after market señor units?
