Ok this is a puzzler to me folks. Twice now after going through an automatic car wash, the audio portion of my satellite radio has stopped playing. To be clear, I'm talking about AFTER leaving the car wash, with a clear view of the open sky.
Logically it would seem water is getting in the satellite radio antenna but here's the weird part. It's ONLY THE AUDIO that stops. The radio is still receiving the signal, all channels are shown, the name of the artist and song is displayed, but there simply is no sound.
At the same time, the AM/FM radio is fine, audio is normal, AND the satellite navigation system functions normally. So the ONLY malfunction is the audio of the sat radio signal.
It's done this 2 out of 2 trips to the car wash now. Turning the radio on and off hasn't helped. Turning hte car on and off hasn't helped. But in both cases after the car has sat a while, the audio miraculously returns.
So, my question is, has anyone else experienced this, and if so what did you do about it? (Yeah I know, don't go to the carwash.:lol: )
