I have a 2002 Nissan Frontier 4wd 6cyl SC that the fuel sending unit has corroded thru. I know there is a recall on it and am working that angle but in case the dealer wont honor it I need help on one fuel line connector. It is one of the clip on connectors, the one that is different from the other 5. On those 5 you squeeze the tabs just past the end of the connector which pushes the flanges in and the connector can be pulled off. On the other connector there are slightly smaller flanges but no tabs to push. Instead at 90 degree from the flanges there are these other flopper ear type pieces (sorry for the description, I can send a picture) that seem to be connected to the flanges. I have pulled, squeezed, rotated but cant seem to get it disconnected.
