hi. 2000 quest. had it shut off while running. fuel pump sounded like it was sucking & gurgling-not humming like it was pumping. replaced fuel pump-- can hear it run & prime system before cranking. started & idled smooth. on test run it shut off again as I was approaching stop sign & wouldn't restart. pulled it to my driveway. it started up. next day I replaced fuel filter & started it up . idled for 7-10 mins & shut--hasn't started since. no fire at plugs. has 9+ volts at injectors. removed & tested resistance of crank sensor( was within limits but could it still be bad?) had amount of scale on dist contacts & rotor( recently replaced) weak coil, maybe? what tests can I run at dist connection? tried search but...had a code tripped before fuel filter install but was leary of driving it 4 mi. to get it read. had no luck before trying to get into self diagnostic mode--could someone direct me to that procedure so I can try it again? was ready to break out an unhappy wallet & get a dist--anyone I should stay away from--like e-bay? ( some good prices there) would appreciate some help. mike
