Alright, here goes. 2001 Nissan Sentra XE, 5sp manual trans, 1.8L engine. This weekend I replaced the Idle Air Control Valve and the EGR Temperature Sensor. The wiring harness side of the EGR Temp Sensor connector was frayed and was hanging on by one strand of wire, so I spliced in a new connector. Yesterday morning, the first day I got to drive it after the work, it started fine and ran fine. Then, on my way home from work, it's idle was erratic and surged up and down. Also, when I got home I turned it off and turned it on and it would start and then immediately die. I tried performing the Idle Air Volume relearn and the throttle position relearn to no avail.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, otherwise I'm just gonna have to take it to a mechanic and spend lots of money that I shouldn't be spending.
