I have a 03 Altima that when the A/c is on and car is in gear it idles rough but when you turn the a/c off it gets better I have changed the belt, belt tenisonor. I have spoken to a couple of different dealerships on this but not really following them when they tell me that the alternator is causing this, from my understanding I would have the rough idle all the time if the pulley on the alternator was bad. I am wondering if I would be correct in assuming that it would be my A/C compressor on its last leg before it locks up. Thanks for reading any help or advice is greatly appreciated.
