More of a common sense thing really. I'm seeing that many people are having sunroof leak issues with water running into the headliner and down into the back of the van or dripping onto the drivers leg from the headliner.
While I didn't feel like tearing into the headliner, there is an easy way to figure out at least why (maybe) the front drip is happening. I believe there is a TSB for the rear issue. Take a container of water to ur car and open the sunroof. Pour just a little bit of water in the front corners inside where the sunroof meets the roof - you'll see the two little drain holes there (the hole is on the side). If your drain is working, the water will drain out down by the bottom of the door. If not, it will collect and just sit there. Mine...just sat there on the driver's side. Conclusion: Plugged drain tube (its a rubber hose leading down to the bottom of the car).
Solution: You can go to the dealer and get widely varying prices to fix this. My cheapest was $200+ on up to $400+ or more if the tube was bad or crimped. It's a pricey labor job for them to undo the headliner. Alternate solution? If you have a body shop that you are friendly with, take it to them. After seeing all the totaled cars and crashed-up messes they see, fixing a drain hose is an easy side job. My body shop took care of it for $85 as part of some other work I had them doing. Piece of cake. No more dripping in rainstorms...and I didn't have to mess with the headliner. Sweeeeeeet. :pizza:
